Founded in 2007, P*Town Bar is your neighborhood meeting place, a Cheers like bar for the community.
People always ask us: “Why is it named P*Town?” Well, the answer is simple: It’s short for “Pittsburgh Town”. When people visit Pittsburgh for the first time, they quickly learn that it’s a big city with a small town feel. Whether you’re tailgating with your fellow sports fans or enjoying a sunny day down at Point State Park, you will always feel welcome in Pittsburgh.
We host a diverse base of customers consisting of college students, young professionals and retirees. It’s a mix of straight, gay, bi, trans, bears, twinks, leather dudes, drag queens and every other cross-cultural personality out there. If you’re new to Pittsburgh or a true “yinzer”, it’s a great place to meet new friends, as well as enjoy the company of classmates and colleagues.
